07 / Angle cards and the Nubbler

The group chat gets consequences.

Sharp Sheet has some weird football energy on purpose. Angle cards reward a read on the room. The Nubbler gives one weekly result a problem nobody can fully plan around.

Angle cards are one-time reads

Each manager gets a small toolkit for the season. A card might pay when the room's majority side loses, when several rivals copy your winner, or when a bad sheet needs a limited clawback.

You can use each card once. Burning the right card on a quiet Week 2 is very different from saving it for a late-season matchup when the ante is heavier.

The Nubbler is hidden until the result

Every week the Nubbler is dealt to one manager and aimed at a target. If it lands on a winner, it trims the win. If it lands on a loser, it makes the bad week hurt more.

The target can try to name the holder. Guess correctly and the hit bounces back. Guess wrong and everybody gets to read the receipt.

It should add heat, not decide the season

The numbers are tuned to matter without making football irrelevant. You still need to draft well, manage positions, and pick the board.

These mechanics exist because every league already has blame, cold streaks, copycats, and people who swear the room is against them. Sharp Sheet gives that stuff a place in the game.
