Everybody starts with $50K. Every decision hits it.
The bankroll is the scoreboard for your whole season. Futures marks, trades, weekly cards, angle cards, and the Nubbler all flow into one number.

The draft starts the risk
Drafting a future does not charge a fake purchase price on draft night. The risk starts when the season moves. Each position has a cost basis and a weekly mark, so good and bad market moves show up in the book.
A room full of favorites may look safe until one of them loses and the expensive side of every book gets hit at once.
Weekly football keeps pressure on
Every week has a required ante. You spread that amount across the sheet, then the wins and losses settle back into the same bankroll. The ante rises during the season, so coasting is not a strategy.
A big Sunday can repair a bad market week. A pile of bad cards can burn through the cushion built by a great draft.
The number keeps everybody honest
The bankroll remembers what you held, what you sold too early, and what you refused to cut. It also remembers the underdog you talked everybody into before it lost by twenty.
There is no separate fantasy record to hide behind. The whole season ends in one ledger and one set of standings.
